Abstract

In this session we explore how concepts can be disrupted by emerging technologies. First, Jeroen Hopster will introduce recent work by members of the on the nature of ‘conceptual disruption’. Thereafter, Philip Brey, Lily Frank, and Sven Nyholm will discuss examples of conceptual disruption in the context of emerging technologies, such as LLMs and the artificial womb.
